Cell Press on ScienceDirect

Cell Press, the Elsevier premium imprint for life science research, publishes 13 highly cited research journals: Cell, Neuron, Immunity, Developmental Cell, Structure, (incorporating Folding and Design), Current Biology, Cancer Cell, Molecular Cell, Chemistry & Biology, Cell Metabolism, Cell Host & Microbe and Cell Stem Cell . These titles are viewed as a ‘must-read’ by the scientific community they serve.

Launched in 1974 as the journal of exciting biology, Cell celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2004 and has long been at the forefront of ground-breaking developments in biology, helping to redefine the important aspects of science by publishing cutting-edge research papers and insightful reviews.

Cell includes original research articles of exceptional significance in all areas of modern biology, and the backfiles include important research in molecular biology, medicine, cell biology, genetics and genomics and more.

Cell Press content was migrated to Elsevier’s ScienceDirect platform in May of 2004, allowing us to offer (for the first time) Cell content dating back to volume 1, issue 1, January 1974.

The 10th Cell Press journal, Cell Metabolism, was launched in January, 2005. Cell Metabolism reports on novel results in any area of metabolic biology, from molecular and cellular biology to translational studies.
